Santa Barbara, Calif.–The law firm of Cappello & Noël LLP recently was honored by the Legal Aid Foundation of Santa Barbara County for the firm’s longtime support. An award was given to firm partners A. Barry Cappello and Leila J. Noël at the Foundation’s October 10, 2012 donor appreciation reception at the Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara.
The mission of the Legal Aid Foundation is to provide high-quality legal services so that low-income persons and seniors have access to the civil justice system in times of crisis. It also offers secure safe, habitable shelter, adequate income and protection from domestic violence and elder abuse.
“Cappello & Noël has provided unwavering support to Legal Aid over the years,” says Ellen Goodstein, the foundation’s executive director. “It’s this kind of backing that enables Legal Aid to make a positive impact in the lives of many in our community.”
Cappello & Noël has contributed over $75,000 to the foundation and also donated a state-of-the-art telephone system. Noël is a Legal Aid Foundation board member. “Our firm wants to do what it can to ensure that the work of this wonderful organization continues,” says Noël.
