Three Cappello & Noël Attorneys Named

As "Super Lawyers"

            SANTA BARBARA, CALIF.--For the second year, A. Barry Cappello, managing partner in the Santa Barbara law firm of Cappello & Noël, LLP, was selected a "Super Lawyer," a designation given to lawyers considered to be Southern California's best. He was recognized for his work in business and general litigation. For the first time, Matthew M. Clarke and Dugan P. Kelley, both partners at the firm, were each named a "California Super Lawyer Rising Star," recognized as the best attorneys under age 40.

            To be selected as a Super Lawyer, attorneys must first go through a peer-nomination process. The background and experience of each nominated candidate is then evaluated for professional achievement. Candidates are then grouped by practice area and final selections are made on a point basis. Only 5 percent of attorneys in a state are selected as a Super Lawyer and only 2.5 percent of attorneys are selected as Rising Stars.

            Independent polling, research and selections were performed by Law & Politics, a publication of Key Professional Media, Inc., which has been producing lists of top attorneys in states around the country since 1991.
